High Holidays 5779

For the High Holidays we welcome our members and those guests who are either Jewish or have a Jewish father, together with their closest relatives. Non-Jewish visitors are welcome to register for one of our regular visitor services. Thank you for your understanding.

Due to a limited amount of seating in the synagogue, a binding reservation is required  in advance. Reservations for Rosh Hashanah must be made before August 31, 2018 and for Yom Kippur before September 11, 2018.

For Members: Buffet Contributions

Traditionally we have asked our members to contribute to the buffets for Erev Rosh Hashanah, Rosh Hashanah after Mussaf and for break-the-fast at the end of Yom Kippur by bringing generous portions of home-made food (without meat).

For some members, however, this is inconvenient for various reasons. As an alternative option such members may contribute financially to the buffets which will be prepared by Beth Shalom’s staff. We have set the minimum financial contributions for each buffet as follows:

Erev Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur each

  • Free of charge for children under age 18, if also parents chooses buffet
  • 15 € for adults

Rosh Hashanah after Mussaf

  • Free of charge for children under age 18, if also parents chooses buffet
  • 10 € for adults

The financial contributions stated above do not cover our total costs, therefore we would appreciate any additional donations.
