Yizkor Plaque and Yahrzeit
We commemorate the victims of the Shoah and the deceased family members of our congregation members with a Yizkor plaque in our synagogue. We invite you to use such a special entry as an opportunity to support Beth Shalom’s efforts to honor the memory of the deceased with a donation of €30 or more. Tree of Life
As a special form of donation, we invite you to sponsor a “Tree of Life” leaf in silver (starting at 108 euros; the number 108 is six times the number 18, which represents the Hebrew word *Chai*—”life”) or in gold (starting at 504 euros; 28 times the symbolic number 18). The artistically designed “Tree of Life” in our community rooms symbolizes the rebirth of Liberal Judaism in Germany through leaves made of aluminum (“silver”) or brass (“gold”), which can be engraved with a personal dedication. A “Tree of Life” donation provides a visible expression of your support for the community’s work—one that can also serve to commemorate a special occasion through a custom inscription on the leaf.
